The Challenge For Softech

The East Coast Power Supply Upgrade – Phase 1 aimed to modernise rail infrastructure between Wood Green and Hitchin, and from Hitchin to Bawtry. Softech, appointed as Construction CRE-OLE on behalf of Jacobs, was responsible for OLE design and bonding solutions. Key challenges included integrating upgraded power supply systems into the OLE design while ensuring compatibility and performance, maintaining strict adherence to safety standards, regulatory compliance, and client-specific requirements, and achieving effective coordination across multiple disciplines to deliver a technically sound and compliant solution.
