Project Overview

Supply, installation, testing & Commissioning of civils/track/electrical/mechanical signalling items for replacement of turnouts at various station in BINAGC section of Jhansi division of Indian Railway in connection with TTR(TWS)work.

 

The project was awarded to our Indian division by Indian Railway in April 2013 after competitive tender process for the modification of a 20 Km broad gauge railway and associated Signalling, Civils, Track, Electrical and mechanical works. This project was multi-d including Civils, Track, Power, Civils and Signalling. Softech’s scope was to:

• Project manage,
• Civils construction for two new signalling control room, signal base installation, signalling location cases,
• Track alterations/replacement of turnouts,
• Replace old signalling equipment including Point Machines and mechanical interlocking,
• Supply power to the new signalling rooms,
• Laying of pipes and cables,
• Order and manage all the materials,
• Interface with Indian Railway,
• Integration with all the disciplines: Civils, Track, Electrical, Mechanical and Signalling,
• Design, planning, documentation and approvals,
• Install all Signalling, track, electrical and mechanical assets on the live rail,
• Testing and commissioning and
• Hand back.

Number of Installation Stages:
• Stage 1: Civils building signalling rooms, signalling bases and location case,
• Stage 2: Laying Cables, Pipes and Power the buildings,
• Stage 3-6: Replacing Mechanical Signalling,
• Stage 7: Track alterations/replacement of turnouts,
• Stage 8-9: Re-signalling
• Stage 10: Final Integration Test and handback into operation.
