Project Overview

MCB’s at Annat East and West were required to be renewed to modern equivalent form as per the current standards.

This work involved the renewal of Manually Control Barriers (MCB’s) at Annat East and West Level Crossing, which was operated from Annat Gate Box. Those were replaced as per RSPG guidelines. This work involved the replacement of both, crossings and their associated equipment including barriers, road light, treadles, control equipment, signage, fencing and telephones.

There was also a requirement to replace existing track circuits to medium voltage DC, AC immune type throughout the level crossing areas. Controls of crossing were transferred to Banavie signal Centre where it become CCTV monitored crossings.
This project was undertaken by Softech to develop GRIP stage 4 single option development.
