Project Overview

Automatic operation of Fishbourne Miniature Light (MWL) Footpath crossing which was monitored by Chichester Signal Box was in frequent use as it served as cross community link but also had a history of misuse and vandalism. There had been many incidents over the years causing operational delays, disruption and unplanned reactive maintenance.

Crossing was recovered with all Signalling controls associated with the operation of the crossing. GRIP stage 5 design was produced to amend the existing signalling equipment interlocked with the crossing which included alterations to REB along with Signalling circuitry, train detection system and indications to Chichester Signal Box.
